My Mother Bear Challenge
![]()
Once upon a time, I was looking for a creative outlet that had a social justice component and found the Mother Bear Project. They collect and distribute hand knit or crocheted bears to children in emerging nations who are affected by HIV/AIDS. It’s a wonderful organization.
I have had my Mother Bear pattern for awhile and have decided I need to set an attainable goal for myself. The pattern is quick and simple, but with room for creativity in color, stitch, and clothes. It’s a perfect opportunity to get out of my head on a regular basis and put some love out there.
So, my challenge. I will knit one bear each month for a year. I will knit love into each bear. I will be present to what I am doing as I knit.
